The woman said two men approached her at Marin Boulevard and York Street and brandished a gun, demanding her purse, which contained her ID, iPhone and credit card, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.
The police Street Crime Unit canvassed the area and recovered the iPhone and returned it to the woman, Wallace-Scalfione said. The woman refused medical attention and no injuries were reported, Wallace-Scalfione said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.
